Meet Coach Bryan Moore
Coach Bryan joined the Cyclones organization in 2019. He has served in the following roles within the Cyclones: Learn to Play Assistant Coach (2019), 6U/8U House Assistant Coach (2019 & 2020) and 6/8U House Head Coach (2021) and 8U+ Head Coach (2021 & 2022). His wife, Katie, is the 8U+ team manager and son, Hunter (7) is on the 8U+ team.
Coach Bryan & Team Manager Katie launched Soda City Youth Sports in the summer of 2022 with a focus on Floorball in an effort to make hockey more accessible to kids in the community and to provide opportunities for kids to continue development in the off-season. Floorball is now incorporated into the dryland training for the Cyclones 8U+ and House programs.

8U+ Vision
The 8U+ program was developed for 8U players with ambitions to play 10U Travel in the future. As an 8U coach, Bryan believes in shrinking the ice to create faster gameplay which forces more opportunities for players to touch the puck. This belief applies to how practices and scrimmages are structured. Significant emphasis is placed on playing as a team and developing friendships, which will hopefully last their entire youth playing careers.
It is important to recognize that each player is unique and develops at different rates, in fact, most kids won’t fully develop sports skills until ages 12-13. Coach Moore’s goal at this age level is to keep kids coming back every week by having fun while learning the fundamentals of hockey. While the focus is on fun, we do want to create an environment where each player feels challenged, but not frustrated. With Coach Moore at the helm, we excited about the future of Cyclones hockey.
